What Is BY' GG and Why Did It Rebrand?

BY' GG — formerly known as Bronze da GG — is a Brazilian artificial tanning network founded in 2016 in Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do Sul. After a decade of operation, the company launched a full rebrand in the first week of August 2025, backed by an investment of approximately R$ 500,000 in own capital. The new name, visual identity and packaging were developed after research trips to China and the United States.

Who Are the Founders?

The business was born from a partnership between two friends. Giovana Duval spent over a decade in California, working in the artificial tanning industry and serving clients including Jennifer Aniston, Avril Lavigne and Ariana Grande. Back in Brazil, she teamed up with Débora Dias, a former lawyer, to launch their own formula — one that delivers an even colour tone without the typical orange tint or the distinctive DHA-related smell.

How Fast Is the Network Growing?

BY' GG closed 2025 with revenue of R$ 7.6 million, up more than 30% from R$ 5.6 million in 2024. The network currently operates ten units — six company-owned and four franchises — in São Paulo, Brasília, Porto Alegre, Capão da Canoa, Lajeado and Santa Maria. The founders follow a selective franchise model, prioritising owner-operators over passive investors. One new unit has already opened in 2026, and a second franchise has been sold, with no opening date yet confirmed.

What Is the Revenue Target for 2026?

The company is aiming to surpass R$ 10 million in revenue in 2026, driven by franchise expansion and the repositioned brand identity.

When Will BY' GG Enter Retail?

Products — currently four home-use SKUs plus applicator gloves — account for roughly 10% of revenue. The goal is to raise that share to 50%. From 2027, the brand plans to enter perfumeries, drugstores and luxury pharmacies through both physical and online channels.
