Who can appeal and what is the deadline?

Candidates who failed the second stage (practical skills assessment) of the Revalida 2025/2 exam and wish to contest their preliminary result may submit an appeal from Wednesday, 29 July, through Friday, 31 July. Appeals must be filed exclusively through the Sistema Revalida platform, managed by INEP (Instituto Nacional de Estudos e Pesquisas Educacionais Anísio Teixeira). Login is done via a Gov.br account.

What is available in the Sistema Revalida right now?

The preliminary result of the practical skills test — the second stage of the national exam — is already published on the platform. INEP has also released the final versions of the Expected Procedure Standard (PEP) for all ten assessment stations. This document serves as the official detailed answer key for the clinical skills portion of the exam.

When will the final result be announced?

According to the official exam notice, the outcome of all appeals and the final result of the second stage will be published on 4 September 2025. After the final result, successful candidates must follow the instructions for selecting a partner university responsible for formally revalidating their diploma.

What is the Revalida and who needs it?

The Revalida is a national exam organised jointly by the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Health. Its purpose is to verify that doctors trained abroad — both Brazilian nationals and foreign citizens — have acquired the knowledge, skills and competencies required to practise medicine in Brazil in line with the principles of the Unified Health System (SUS). The exam consists of two stages: a theoretical test and a practical assessment. It is not a public-sector selection process and does not by itself authorise medical practice; rather, approval certifies that the foreign diploma meets Brazilian university training standards. Diploma revalidation is then carried out by public higher-education institutions that have joined the Revalida programme.
