When exactly will roads be closed in Maceió?

The First International Maceió Marathon takes place this weekend, bringing together athletes from 13 countries across four race distances: 5 km, 10 km, 21 km (half marathon), and the full 42.195 km marathon. The start and finish line is at the Arena Maratona Maceió, in the Jaraguá parking area.

Saturday — races of 5 km, 10 km and the half marathon: full road closures from 2:30 am to 9:00 am. The neighbourhoods most affected are Jaraguá, Pajuçara, Ponta Verde, Jatiúca, Cruz das Almas and Jacarecica.

Sunday — the full 42 km marathon: full road closures from 2:30 am to 10:30 am. Closures will be lifted gradually as runners pass through each section of the course. Additional streets along the Sunday route may also face temporary changes throughout the morning.
