What Is the Pode Falar Platform and Who Can Use It?
Pode Falar is a mental health support service aimed at young people aged 13 to 24. It offers a safe space for anonymous listening, guidance and emotional support — and it is now integrated into the Meu SUS Digital app, available on the App Store and Google Play.
How Do You Access It?
Open the Meu SUS Digital app, scroll to the mini-apps section and tap Pode Falar. The service runs Monday to Saturday, 08:00–22:00 (Brasília time). Your first contact is with a chatbot, which can escalate to a human attendant whenever needed — or whenever you prefer.
Who Provides the Support?
Teleconsultations are carried out by undergraduate and postgraduate students in fields such as psychology, medicine and education. They work under the supervision of professors, receive ongoing training and follow specific protocols for each situation.
How Does It Handle Emergencies?
An AI tool monitors the queue of messages, and if it detects signs of high risk it immediately alerts the team so that person's case is prioritised. This means even while waiting you are not invisible to the platform.
What Growth Is Expected?
Currently the platform handles around 1,100 sessions per month. With direct access through Meu SUS Digital — which already has a large user base — the Ministry of Health expects to reach approximately 11,000 sessions per month.
When Should You Seek In-Person Care?
If psychological distress is persistent and affecting your daily routine, studies, work or relationships — or during a crisis — the Ministry recommends visiting a Basic Health Unit (UBS). The SUS provides comprehensive care for all ages, with referrals to specialised services when required.
